Emergency and Disaster Management: The Canadian Red Cross, a not for profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in Canada and throughout the world, is currently seeking volunteers to join our Emergency Management team. This is an opportunity to put your passion for emergency management to work to assist individuals, families and communities impacted by small or large disasters and emergencies: Emergency Management Volunteer - Canadian Red Cross 

Community Health Services: The Canadian Red Cross is a leader in supporting Canadians to remain living in their homes safely and with dignity through innovative and compassionate community health services. A wide range of community support services are offered by the Red Cross to provide daily supports to older adults, vulnerable people, and their caregivers: HELP Technician

Friendly Call Program: Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for establishing and maintaining regular telephone contact with assigned Clients for the purpose of providing them with company, companionship, and a connection with their community - Friendly Call Program

Client Services Volunteer: This role allows you to work with clients and their health care providers for referral requests or the loaning and returning of health equipment they need in their homes to be independent following surgery or during illness. You will provide instructions on how to use the equipment and where they can contact for returns, repair, or loan continuation. Hours for this role will vary but are typically 3-4 hours a week in the morning of afternoon Monday to Friday. Community Connector Volunteer: Location: St. Andrews, St John, Moncton, and Miramichi, New Brunswick. This role is suited for any individuals with a desire and passion for supporting older adults in their communities. Each participant will be pairs with one of the volunteers in the community to learn about any challenges or issues they are experiencing. As well as connect them with any community programs or services that may be of interest or help them. This role may include accompanying the individuals to resources or services. In order to participate your must be at least 18yrs of age and experience with working with older adults is considered an asset. Technician – Health Equipment Loan Program (HELP): Locations: Saint John, Fredericton, Woodstock, Edmundston New Brunswick. In this role you will clean and maintain returned and used equipment. You will also deliver and install HELP basic equipment for the clients. Documentation of each repair and cleaning of the equipment is required while also instructing clients and caregivers on the use and maintenance of each piece of equipment.
