The mentorship program aims to connect skilled newcomers to professionals in the Canadian job market. Mentors share their knowledge about their occupation/profession, the local labor market, and the community with newcomers of similar occupations. Mentors do not need to be experts in the field or know everything about how to look for and secure a job here in Canada. They can offer support to the mentee on their job search and provide any advice on how to navigate the Canadian job market.
Requirements of the program:
- Able to have a minimum of five (5) meetings with the mentee.
- Ability to spend 30 minutes to 1 hour with the mentee.
- Willingness to share their knowledge and connections with the mentee.
