Share your time, skills, and ideas with us in the New Brunswick Division! Your involvement will make a real difference and directly impact the successful delivery of our programs and support which benefit the over 6 million Canadians living with arthritis. We could not have come this far in our almost 70-year history without our volunteers, and we are truly thankful for their selfless contributions. Our volunteers come from many walks of life and they all have one thing in common – they make a huge difference in the lives of Canadians with arthritis.
The Walk for Arthritis is a one day community-based event that raises much needed funds for the more than 6 million Canadians affected by arthritis. Volunteers are needed to help with a range of tasks, from setting up and registering walkers in the morning to guiding walkers during the event and helping with clean up at the end of the day.
By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis. As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative solutions that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis. Since its inception, the Walk for Arthritis has raised over $10 million. Let’s make 2018, our ninth year, a record breaking year by raising $2 million, allowing the Arthritis Society to fund even more research, and providing innovative solutions to those living with this devastating disease.
The Walk to Fight Arthritis stretches across Canada to unite families, friends and organizations to achieve one common goal: to help the over 4.6 million Canadians who live with arthritis every day. Registering for the Walk means you join a passionate community that is determined to build awareness and raise funds for arthritis research. Fundraising for the Walk also permits The Arthritis Society to keep providing vital programs and services that enable people with arthritis to live well at home, work and play.
