Description

Be  a   Friend- Make a Friend: An Enriching Cultural Experience Awaits!

The MCAF Community  Connections Program matches Fredericton  volunteers with  newcomers and clients of the MCAF settlement programs. When you become a volunteer at MCAF you help newcomers settle into our community, learn about other cultures, and make new friends.

The MCAF First Fredericton Friend (FFF)  program  needs Canadian-born and long-settled immigrant volunteers who will receive training and support from the MCAF staff to assist newly arrived GAR families. The Government Assisted Refugees (GAR) program supports those, who were forced to flee their homes to save and protect their lives, to immigrate to Canada. According to UNHCR data, there are 35.5 million refugees in the world as of the year 2023.

The MCAF will  continue receiving  new GAR families and individuals in the coming months.

The MCAF FFF program asks you for 6 months' commitment to showing new Canadians what the old Canadians are made of.

Please fill out and  submit the attached FFF  program volunteer form  to become our team member. Must be 18 years or older.

If you have any questions, please email community-liaison@mcaf.nb.ca or call 506-471-4810.
