Who We Are
Earth Education League “Ecology-Based Higher Learning” Earth Education League (E.E.L.) holds the vision of “Ecology-Based Higher Learning.” We do this successfully through designing & implementing non-faculty based, collaberative learning opportunities, and amassing a body of publicly accessible ecology based information (videos, case studies, reports, print). Providing ecology-based higher learning that prepares people for the world we are inheriting means (but is not limited to): Seed Saving & Soil Building, Food / Medicine Growing & Preservation, Forest Based Ecology Training & Survival, Agronomy to eco-arts’n’crafts to name a few. Through designing and implementing site specific development, workshops/discussions, educational art projects, and programs/ciriculum focused on ecology-based technologies, skills and knowledge. Practicing strategies toward a regenerative economy, we are building our collective capacity to build resilience, support/build local knowledge-sharing networks, identify/stimulating the abundance around us, all on our way to nurturing our local spaces into a vibrant economy. Earth Education League is a membership-based, collectively-run educational society. 2016 – a series of workshops in Singhampton, ON had us teaching over 100 people throughout the year about orchard designing, permaculture, organic gardening, companion planting and composting. In the process we planted a 10,000sg ft mixed permaculture orchard during a festival with the members on site; also hosted a rocket mass workshop series in nb while building one with the students 2017 – the praxis project nb education component was organized and facilitated by us; as well as follow up workshops at the orchard in mentioned above (Singhampton, ON) 2018 –

We will develop portable workshop infrastructure with its own amplification equipment and power allowing us to conduct workshops, trainings and events. Schools, Youth & Elder Groups Work with existing programmers to bring our content to grade and high schools, summer camps, Boys and Girls’ Clubs, 4H, seniors’ & special interest groups in various communities. Social Benefit Organization Partners Engage our partners in our trainings to provide their members and leadership with hands-on education and training that brings new meaning to their social benefit work. We have for been cooperating with “the Praxis Project” since before we were incorporated to provide and follow through the education aspect of that permaculture inspired art festival (annual gathering). We have as of this year bought our headquarters in NB and once the renovations are near complete we will start teaching out of our space as well as travelling.
