Who We Are

Established in 1984, Connexion Artist-Run Centre is a not-for-profit charitable arts organization for the promotion and development of contemporary art and artists.

The centre operates without a fixed location to present permanent and temporary projects sited in the city of Fredericton, capital of New Brunswick, on the traditional unceded territory of the Wolastoqiyik and Mi’kmaq First Nations.

What We Do

  • Promote experimental contemporary art practices, with an emphasis on emerging artists and ideas.
  • Support the professional development of our artist-membership
  • Provide a supportive, open, and equitable space for the discussion of contemporary art
  • Operate in a generative, responsive, and flexible manner, mirroring the experimental nature of contemporary art.

We especially value contributions from people who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ2+, genderqueer, trans, and cis women, disabled and/or disenfranchised persons, or from those who actively seek to engage and support marginalized groups.

We are dedicated to serving our community in its most diverse forms. We warmly invite volunteers, artists, and anyone who is interested in joining our membership to reach out and become involved. Join us and help contribute to Fredericton's thriving arts community!
