Volunteer with BullyingCanada’s Lifeline: Bullied Youth Support Network

Every day, thousands of youth across Canada reach out in crisis—scared, alone, and desperate for someone to listen. You can be that someone.

Lifeline: Bullied Youth Support Network, a program of BullyingCanada, is looking for compassionate, dedicated volunteers to provide critical support to bullied youth across the country. As a Support Responder, you’ll work remotely to answer messages, texts, and calls from youth in need—providing guidance, support, and hope.

We’re seeking volunteers who are:

Excellent listeners and communicators Patient, empathetic, and non-judgmental Comfortable using online tools and working independently Able to commit to a minimum number of volunteer hours per week

NOTE: YOU MUST PASS A BACKGROUND AND VULNERABLE SECTOR CHECK

We are looking for volunteers with professional experience with Data Entry / Typing to assist our charity with a Volunteer from Home Data Entry Project. (Exceptions will be made if you lack professional experience but have an increased typing speed with accuracy) The information you will be entering will either be: data from a webpage or you will need to do some light research to locate the name of a organization's contact person and mailing address from an organization's website. If you would be interested in volunteering for this project - please reach out, and we will provide further details.  The information that you will be entering will be either: PDF to Excel, or paper copy to Excel, whatever you prefer. Important details when considering to agree to volunteer for this task: The data you will be entering will be all web-based, so you will require a high-speed internet connection The information you will be entering will be the Organization Name, Contact Person, and Mailing address. This information will be collected from both provided contact list / you will have to look up the contact details from a provided list of organizations. You must be 18+ A criminal record check will be completed at no cost to you. This is done online, via our vendor - more details will be provided after you agree to volunteer. (We will need some basic personal information to complete the background check).
