Description:  Do you have an eye for museum exhibit design? The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame is developing three new exhibits for the Summer tourist season and is looking for someone with a creative flare to help plan and design the museum’s exhibits and displays.

Specific Duties:              

Planning exhibits                                 Designing Exhibits                                 Keeping a record of objects’ locations                                 Working with incoming loans

Qualifications:                

A good eye for detail                                 Interest in New Brunswick's sports heritage                                 Understanding of Museum practice for working with objects

Hours:   May vary depending on the project and time of year.

Ideal Experience:  Installing commercial displays, merchandise and signage or background in museum exhibits and displays.

Job Description: Are you a handy person who loves sports? The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame is looking for a volunteer Jack or Jill-of-All-Trades who can build exhibit cases and displays, can paint and knows the ins and outs of small construction projects.

The primary task will be to work with the curator in bringing exhibits to life by helping design, construct and assemble exhibit cases as well as creative displays and installations. Other tasks may include building shelving, painting and small repairs.

Skills: Carpentry, construction, painting

Requirements: This volunteer role is suitable to an individual who can commit at least 2-3 hours once a week as needed.

The NB Sports Hall of Fame is searching for a volunteer (from the Fredericton Area) for an exciting opportunity to assist with the organization and delivery of the Canadian Association for Sport Heritage National Conference
The NB Sports Hall of Fame will be the official host organization, however the majority of the conference will be held at the Fredericton Crown Plaza from June 19 - 21, 2019.  This biennial conference usually attracts between 30 and 50 museum and Sports Halls of Fame professionals from across Canada.   

We are seeking a mature and organized volunteer to serve as Conference Coordinator and Support, who will be expected to:

work with NBSHF Staff to ensure exceptional conference coordination, connect with key Sports Heritage stakeholders from across Canada to communicate conference details and coordinate registrations, connect with and help coordinate conference session presenters, assist with general conference coordination and logistics.

Hours:  2-3 hours per week minimum during the research and development stage.

Requirements: This volunteer role is suitable to an individual who can commit at least 2-3 hours once or more a week on an ongoing basis.
