Who We Are
Mission: To provide food, clothing, and opportunities people need on their journey to self-sufficiency.
Greener Village is a nonprofit committed to ensuring everyone in our community has access to essential resources for self-sufficiency. We provide food, clothing, and skill-building opportunities through programs like the Fredericton Food Bank, Community Gardens, Learning Kitchen, and Unique Boutique thrift store. With a small team of staff, our work is made possible by dedicated volunteers and community support.
What We Do
- Fredericton Food Bank: Serving over 2,200 families monthly through in-person visits, deliveries, and community partnerships.
- Community Gardens: Offering training and 30 garden beds to help clients grow fresh, pesticide-free produce, yielding over 4,000 lbs annually.
- Learning Kitchen: Providing cooking classes, food safety courses, and collective kitchens led by our Red Seal Chef.
- Unique Boutique: A thrift store where every purchase helps fight hunger—every $1 spent provides $2 worth of food.
Through these initiatives, we support individuals on their path to independence while strengthening the community.
